What Does it Cost?

When students enroll at Midland, they purchase an educational service. Most of the charges are included in one flat-rate charge which offers advantages to the student, parents, and the school. As these charges are based on present costs for services, the School Board reserves the right to adjust the rates as it may deem necessary.

The yearly rates for the 2024-2025 school year will be as follows:

The cost for attending Midland is broken down into two areas: tuition and a general fee.

Tuition

These charges cover instruction in all classes and the use of facilities and equipment.

General Fee

This fee covers class dues, library fee, textbooks, music fee, school yearbook, school T-shirt, student accident insurance, student association dues, computers, and other technology. Choosing not to participate in any of the above will not reduce the general fee. The general fee is refundable at 50% during the first two weeks of a student’s enrollment at Midland. There will be a $50.00 discount if this fee is paid by July 1st.

* Tuition payments do not cover the full cost of operating Midland, and members of our constituent Seventh-day Adventist churches help support Midland with substantial subsidies. 


Payment schedule

Midland uses a ten-month payment plan. The first of the ten billings is due at Registration in August. A monthly statement outlining tuition charges, credits, miscellaneous charges, and payments will be sent to each family by the 1st of each month. It is important all student accounts be paid by the 10th of the month. The school depends upon receiving prompt payment of its tuition accounts to meet its monthly financial obligations.

Note: A $20 late fee will be applied to student accounts not paid by the 10th of the month.

Payment methods

Midland Adventist Academy accepts VISA, Discover, MasterCard., and American Express. You may also pay by cash, check, automated bill payment through your bank, or by a scheduled credit/debit card payment.

Other Expenses

The following expense items may apply during a student's stay at Midland:

  • Late Registration - Students not completing registration until after the designated Registration Day will be charged a late fee of $75.00.
  • Returned Checks - A $40.00 service fee will be charged to the student’s account if a check or electronic payment is returned for any reason. 
  • Transcript Fee - The first transcript for graduating seniors is free. There is a $5.00 charge for each additional transcript requested. 
  • Graduation Fee - A graduation fee of $100.00 will be charged to each senior to cover expenses involved in graduation including cap, gown, tassel, and diploma. This fee will be charged to the senior’s January bill.
  • Lost or Damaged Textbooks - A textbook rental fee for all students is included in the general fee. However, loss of or damage to textbooks will incur an additional charge.
